Courses start in September and March |
Osteopathy is playing an ever-increasing role in the treatment of musculo-skeletal problems - the aches and pains that affect everyone at some stage and can have a major impact on their lives. Many people are already beginning to make the osteopath their first health professional when such problems strike. But osteopathy can and does play an important role for the medical profession. Doctors can learn simple techniques to help diagnose somatic dysfunction and offer immediate treatment or advice for self treatment. Some go further, they qualify with LCOM as registeres osteopaths and are able to bring their medical skills to osteopathy, as well as use osteopathy to help their patients. And there is no restriction on specialism - GPs, sports specialists, rheumatologists, orthopaedic surgeons - all make up the membership and use their unique and complimentary mix of skills in their professional work. |
