About the Clinic

The clinic is a charity and was set up in 1927 to treat patients who could not afford private fees. The staff at the clinic are all doctors, some of which are doctors training to be osteopaths, and see patients under the supervision of our tutors, and we ask for a donation to our clinic when you have a treatment.
Other doctors working at the clinic are qualified osteopaths, who have previously qualified at the college. It costs us much more money to provide treatment by a qualified medical osteopath so we request a donation starting at £30. We are only able to do this because it is under the umbrella of the charity - private treatment by a qualified medical osteopath would cost considerably more.
We are also able to offer you treatments other than osteopathy, some of our doctors are able to offer injections for some conditions where this type of treatment is more beneficial.

What will treatment cost?

As a charity we receive no government or NHS funding, and rely solely on donations. we currently suggest a donation of £30 a treatment. This subsidised amount barely covers the running costs of the clinic as we are a non-profit making organisation. While we are very pleased if patients who can afford it offer us more, if you have financial problems we are happy to take whatever donation you can manage.
